How Does The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) Work?
Make an appointment with Piara Waters Dental.
If you want to use CDBS, please let us know when scheduling an appointment. Find out how close you are to the limit, as this will determine your benefit amount. Our dentist will also check your child's eligibility for benefits during their appointment.
Talk to the dentist about the treatment that your child needs.
At the dentist's office, talk about how much each service will cost and whether CDBS will cover it. If you agree to the treatments and pricing, we'll give you a consent form to sign.
Start your treatment.
You will receive a bill after your treatment.
Submit the claim.
Medicare benefits under CDBS can be claimed via the Express Plus Medicare app, your Medicare online account through myGov, or by mailing or dropping off a Medicare Claim form at your local service centre. Once Medicare has processed your claim, the benefit will be credited to your bank account.
